5K FINISH Training Program

5K (3.1 miles) training program is a 10 week conditioning program, whether walking or running is the preferred sport.  5K Finish is open to all levels of walkers, runners, and interval training. During the 10 weeks we will focus on the dynamics of walking and running, proper form, and educating our participants on how to manage and conserve energy during the workout to finish strong ad keep risk of injuries down.  No experience necessary.

Our next 5K FINISH Program kick-off will be this spring! February 24 & 25 at 6PM - Just pick your location!

We now offer two locations for the program! Whether you're trying to start something new or simply sticking to your current goals, the 5K FINISH Spring training program is a great way to get up and get moving. This 10-week program will meet twice a week, for coached training sessions. Participants will be divided into three groups during the training based on their current fitness level. This program is very non-intimidating and encouraging. Past participants have had success with their training goals and have made friends to keep running with. The cost is $80 for a single person or $100 for a family (up to 2 immediate members). While in the program, members will receive 10% off shoes, apparel, and accessories. Race Day Registration is not included in $80 program fee.

5K Finish is a beginner 5K (3.1 miles) training program designed for people who are currently inactive or new to running and walking. While 5K Finish focuses on beginners, all levels of walkers and runners are welcome. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line in just 10 weeks!  Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!

Q: When does the program meet?

A: Fleet Feet Kingsport: Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00pm.

A: Fleet Feet Johnson City: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00pm. 

Q: How much does the program cost?

A: Registration costs $80. Race Day Registration will be a separate fee.

Q: I've never run before. Do you think I'll be left behind?

A: Of course not! This program is designed for beginners, though we also welcome experienced runners looking to get fitter and faster. We offer several separate pacing options. 

Q: If I have to miss a workout or two, does that mean I can't be part of the program?

A: Of course you can still be involved! We would love to have every training group participant at every run, but we understand that life and obligations may occasionally get in the way.

Q: Will my employer pay for this, or reimburse me?
