Fall 2016 NOBO 5k Program

Does running or walking a mile seem impossible to you? Have you had the goal of training for a 5k on your bucket list? Would you like to be a part of a group that fosters accountability in a fun and friendly environment?

No Boundaries 5K (3.1 miles) training program is a 10 week conditioning program, whether walking or running is the preferred sport.  No Boundaries is open to all levels of walkers, runners, and interval training. During the 10 weeks we will focus on the dynamics of walking and running, proper form, and educating our participants on how to manage and conserve energy during the workout to finish strong ad keep risk of injuries down.  No experience necessary.

The Fall 2016 NOBO Program will kick-off on Monday, August 29th at 6:00 PM. Whether you're trying to start something new or simply sticking to your current goals, the No Boundaries Spring training program is a great way to get up and get moving. This Fall, the goal race(s) will be the Speedway in Lights 5k on November 13th at 6:00 PM. This 10-week program will meet Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm, for coached training sessions. Participants will be divided into three groups during the training based on their current fitness level. This program is very non-intimidating and encouraging. Past participants have had success with their training goals and have made friends to keep running with. The cost is $100 for a single person or $175 for a family (up to 2 immediate members). While in the program, members will receive 10% off shoes, apparel, and accessories.

No Boundaries is a beginner 5K (3.1 miles) training program designed for people who are currently inactive or new to running and walking. While No Boundaries focuses on beginners, all levels of walkers and runners are welcome. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line in just 10 weeks!  Along the way we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving, guidance and advice, weekly group training runs or walks, and educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus, you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you!
